So speaking of Glamour Shots, I think that the amount of glitter we use on our cupcakes (edible, of course!) could rival

the amount of hairspray used at one location in the late 1980′s…..

SO…. here is My OWN personal ‘cupcake war’ to share with you-

The interesting part of the holiday weekend was making a cupcake ‘parfait’ out of the TEN BOXES that were ruined when yours truly did not see a bench which was ‘parked’ right beside our truck. I say ‘parked’ because I have never noticed it before. I’m sure it was just there for the day. I did not see this bench until I ran in to it, flew over it and landed on my kneecap with the giant box of cupcake boxes flying ever so gracefully from my arms, rotating slowly as if pretending to be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson leaping through the air in an action movie. I’m sure that he would have recovered much better than my cupcakes (and I) did. The bruises are still there

A big thanks to the wonderful Bello Day Spa for lending me your office to cry in and for use of the ice pack! You were much appreciated that morning!

These are just a few of the sweeties Orange County is deciding on for our Valentines boxes! We’re also planning on making boxes of 4 minis available as well. We’ve found them to be a big hit in Eugene, OR so we’re bringing them to Southern California too! These boxes of 4 are perfect for teacher gifts, the nice person in your office that makes your job a little easier, even for your kids…just enough sweets for your sweet! We’re still deciding on flavors in both Eugene and in Orange County. What flavors would you like to see?

These beauties were taken to a local elementary school.  The moms and kids sampled as they walked to their cars.  I think these were a hit!  Blackberry Pumpkin with Vanilla Creme Frosting and Pumpkin Cheesecake topped with Cream Cheese Frosting and dusted with Cinnamon.  Oh yeah!  One mom said that the pumpkin cheese cake was the perfect combo of cake and pie!  Just what I was going for!

If 50 of these weren’t enough, later in the evening, The Sassy Cupcake OC and her mom started talking about Great Grandma Brown’s signature dessert.  Grandma Brown loved Angel Food Cake.  When she made it (which was very often!) she’d frost it with maraschino cherry frosting.  We wanted to figure out a way to make her signature dessert into a cupcake.  After talking through it, we decided to try.  My mom said that these would have made Emma very proud!

Grandma Brown, these cupcakes are for you!  We hope we did you proud.  These cupcakes are light as a feather with just a hint of maraschino cherry.  I call them perfect!

We’ve been asking our faithful fans on Facebook to tell us their favorite seasonal drinks as inspiration for some new cupcake flavors.  I have two favorites that I must indulge in at my local coffee shop (I’m not naming names…I know you know which one I’m talking about!)

I love my peppermint mocha and my salted caramel hot chocolate.

Those are worth every bit of digging through the couch and car seats for misplaced coins.
